Methodology

We track public signals only: no proprietary data, no paywalled sources. Our dashboard and reports are built from:

• Usage & distribution — GitHub stars, npm/PyPI downloads, app store rankings where relevant.
• Community — Discord/Slack size and activity, Twitter/X following and engagement.
• Funding — Announced rounds (we don’t guess at undisclosed amounts).
• Hiring — Job postings and team growth as a proxy for execution speed.

We weight these by recency and normalize for stage so early-stage and growth-stage companies can be compared fairly. Commentary in the report is written by us; no AI is used for analysis or prose.
